A tropical disturbance developed into a tropical depression early morning on 22nd September and was located nearby northeast of Luzon in northwest Pacific(19.0¢XN, 122.0¢XE). Later on, it moved west-northwestward and entered within 800 kilometers of Macao.
At 10am on 23rd September, the tropical depression located at about 330 km southeast of Macao(20.0¢XN, 115.8¢XE) and was moving westward under the velocity of 12 km/h. It strengthened into a tropical storm by 8 pm and was located at about 290 km south-southeast of Macao. It was named as ¡§Francisco¡¨, 0713 with central pressure 992 hPa, the maximum substained wind near the center was 67 km/h. It moved westward with the velocity of 16 km/h.
It was located about 260 km south of Macao (19.8¢XN, 113.3¢XE) at 3am on 24th September. By that time, it was moving westward under the velocity of 16 km/h, the central pressure was 990 hPa, maximum substained wind near the center was 79 km/h. It landed at the coastal area of Wenchang County, Hainan Province in that afternoon. Further weakened into a tropical depression under the influence of topography friction .
Early morning on 25th September, after passing by Hainan, it entered into Golf of Beibu with southwest direction. It finally landed in Hanoi, Vietnam and dissipated inland.
